Extreme sudoku

Extreme sudoku is where pattern spotting stops being enough. Every puzzle at this level needs a step beyond the patterns at the lower levels, usually a forcing chain: you suppose a candidate is true, follow what that forces across the board, and reach a contradiction that proves the candidate is false.
